NDIS Support in the Hunter Valley
Pursue Ability is a registered NDIS provider supporting people with disability across the Hunter Valley, including Maitland (where our head office is), Cessnock, Kurri Kurri, Singleton and Muswellbrook. We offer Supported Independent Living, Individualised Living Options, Community Access and Support Coordination, delivered by a local team who know the area.
Maitland and the Hunter Valley at a glance
Maitland is a younger community than much of the region, with a median age of 36, and NDIS numbers here grew 8% in the 15 months to June 2026. More than 1 in 8 Maitland residents care for someone with a disability, health condition or older age, above the NSW average. That means steady demand for therapy, support for school leavers, and good housing options.

Getting around and local services
- Maitland Hospital is at Metford.
- Hunter Line train stations include Maitland, High Street, East Maitland, Victoria Street, Metford, Telarah and Thornton, with connections to Newcastle and the Upper Hunter.
- Our community access team can help with travel training on local buses and trains.
